2014 National K-12 (Grades) Chess Championships
The last National Scholastic event of the year, the K-12 Chess Championships, will take place at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando, Florida, 12 – 14 December. This premier Fall Scholastic event has 13 divisions and players compete only in their school grade. In addition to the main event which starts on Friday, there will be Blitz and Bughouse tournaments on Thursday. Other events include the Parents and Friends Tournament as well as a GM Simul.
The main event will have seven rounds with a time control of G/90 d5. There will be individual and team trophies awarded in all 13 sections! First place individual and team, including ties, will be declared National Champions for their grade.
