Capital City Chess Championship Tournament Results


We had a nice turnout for our 2nd annual Capital City Chess Championship this past weekend. The tournament was a one-day four-round G/60 event.

After the dust settled there was a three-way tie for 1st-3rd place between Colin Dougherty, Hugh Cline, and David Schell. The three players split the prize money for 1st-3rd placed. Based on tie-break points, Hugh Cline won the tournament trophy and is crowned the reigning Capital City Chess Champion for a year. If anyone want’s to dethrone him, you’ll have to show up and play at next year’s tournament!
