Anand-Topalov game 10, Grunfeld by Anand results in a draw

Anand, playing black this round, opted for a Grunfeld Defense. As we know, that didn’t turn out very well for him in Game 1. However, it seems that Anand was able to hold on this time. An early exchange of rooks and then an exchange of Queens on move 27 put this game into an ending favoring Topalov, as white. White had a passed d-pawn and the bishop pair, but black had a 2-1 majority on the queenside. The game was drawn on White’s 60th move and the match remains tied at 5-5. Game 11 on Sunday and Game 12 will be on Tuesday.
